Third release, “Hedonismo Nihilista”, by extreme grindcore / powerviolence blasters LIBEROSIS from San José, Costa Rica! The quartet fine tunes a raw sound here in the proper way while maintaining heaviness throughout. Stabbing guitar is highlighted by mean riffing and some total noisy chaos backed by punchy bass. The drums are primed to pummel you senseless of course, but there are catchier parts here for circle pit freaks too! Traditional high / low vocals switching off should be familiar as a staple of this genre by now. What else can you ask for from a grind EP? Fans of classic South American or Japanese style grindcore should take note of this one, but hardcore fanatics won’t be disappointed either. Black vinyl, limited to 500 total copies.
