Madrid’s Vilmort have been an incredible presence and force in the international DIY grindcore scene, leaving a strong impression with the two demos they released in 2023 and 2024. Carrying an unapologetically brutal old-school sound, the band stands as a prime example of crust-laden grindcore. Their music feels like a vortex of never-ending vicious riffs and screams. Main songwriter Gerardo, also known for his work in Denak, Disturbance Project, and Rageous Intent, handles guitar duties with relentless brutality. He never misses, constantly introducing new hooks that sharpen and intensify the band’s already fierce sound.
