COLLISION - "ROADKILLER"

Making aggressive thrash metal even more aggressive is an art, yet this is exactly what the Dutch grinders of Collision do perfectly. A few simple measures like doubling the speediness of your thrash riffs, a fuller guitar sound, making it sound more brutal and using vocals that are screamed at you over the top of your lungs, all give the music that extra aggressive edge.

On top of that, almost each song has been given an extra special feature in the form of either a cool solo (‘Twins Of Evil’!) or a memorable (succession of) guitar riffs, a lot of which are very much influenced by good ole rock ‘n roll. The band even makes sure that the fast-paced material does not focus too much on that very pace and slower passages are built in at strategic moments. Another nice element are the very true, socially criticising (not pc!) lyrics. All in all, ‘Roadkiller’ is a very fine thrash/grind record indeed!
