FENRIZ’ RED PLANET / NATTEFROST – “ENGANGSGRILL”

A split album from two icons of black metal, Fenriz and Nattefrost, ENGANGSGRILL is a true rock n roll experience, exploring the borders between black metal, doom and classic rock. It s dark, emotional and very back to basics. Even the fact that it is a split album takes us back to where it all began.



Fenriz, best known as the drummer and lyricist of the mighty Darkthrone, has been a driving force in the global metal underground for over 20 years! In addition to releasing albums with Darkthrone, Fenriz has performed solo and been involved with a number of bands spanning a variety of musical genres. His three tracks (originally recorded in 1993) on ENGANGSGRILL reveal a passion for classic doom and reflect his current inspiration taken from Black Sabbath, Candlemass and Trouble (USA). Now teamed up with Nattefrost, the time has come for these songs to see the light of day.



Nattefrost is one of the most recognizable and longest serving figures on the Black Metal scene. With ENGANGSGRILL, Nattefrost is able to show yet another facet of his musical skills, merging unexpected genres and crating his own unique musical stamp with its ability to surprise. Though not entirely new, Nattefrost s contribution to this split album is really a series of rare/obscure tracks and unreleased out-takes, culled from his personal archives, making up Side Lustmord on the album.
