CADAVER EYES - "CLASS MAMMAL" CDR

Pro CDR in a nice poster package. The blueprint here is the slow trudge of doom grafted onto desperate, strangled vocals that are somewhat akin to that of Silencer, sans the hysterics. The heavy drums push their weight throughout all the tracks, like some ponderous animal, riddled with disease, stumbling slowly towards collapse. Drummer/vocalist David Opp seems in the midst of a nervous breakdown, his atonal shouts and howls spiking through the haze of noise. But it’s the well-harnessed feedback that’s the primary instrument here. It coats everything in a thick, black sludge, at times unmoving yet insistent, at other times whirring and swooping frantically across your field of vision like some demented bird of death.
