WATCHDOGS - "THE STONE AND THE HORDE"

$10.00

The Watchdogs, a brutal quartet from the city of Moscow, was built up in 2011 by former members of moscow hardcore gang Broken Fist. These guys demonstrate groovy mid-tempo sludgecore, though in this case this term is rather relative, which determines aesthetic belonging of the band, than defines it's music scopes directly. The Watchdogs's music has a wide range of influences: on a debut full-length "The Stone and The Horde" you'll face swinging groove metal, high-speed black-metal elements, followed by cheerful southern riffage and, of course, our lovely hardcore!
Furious, strong, uncompromising!
The Watchdogs's hammer-out playing manner, strong tasty sound takes and keeps the listener in suspence till the last blast. Frank russian-language lyrics depict brutal reality, which comes around in this unjust world. High quality of sound on the record, experience in music, great performance and perfect realization of the things, which The Watchdogs want to state in terms of their art, bringing up together different styles of heavy music, make "The Stone and The Horde" an excellent, up-to-date piece of contemporary angry metal.
The art work was done by a splendid Bad Road C.E.S. artist Maria Phobia. Stylized to Albrecht Dürer's engravings, it develops the concept of the record, bringing the spirit of endless battle, never-ending war of people against each other and themselves.
The Watchdogs are cogent and good as a punch in the face in a fair street fight!
